Trinity Agtech expands expertise with Ag-tech veteran Louise Rix

Louise joins Trinity Agtech having spent a decade working in technical sales and business development across the agricultural sector, most recently for Hummingbird Technologies, with a focus on using artificial intelligence and remote sensing data to provide advanced crop analytics.

Previous roles include Sales & Technical Manager at Restrain, a member company of the Produce Investments Group, providing anti-sprouting solutions for stored crops and ripening in glass houses. She was the first woman to receive an MSc in Carbon in the UK, which she gained from King’s College London. The focus of her dissertation was carbon footprinting global onion production.

Louise’s family farm on the Essex/Suffolk border, where should grew up. Commenting on why she joined Trinity, Louise said:

“Coming from a farming family I have a genuine desire to support British Agriculture on its road to net zero and for proactive farmers to be rewarded through the harnessing of data and delivery of tech.

“I believe Trinity provides the most comprehensive tool in the marketplace to manage and monitor farm emissions and sequestration capabilities. The Natural Capital Markets trading platform means a full end to end service is delivered for clients and this is complimented by Global Farm Pioneers platform to share knowledge for increasing sustainability and profitability.

“Having studied Carbon Sciences and worked in the ag sector with tech starts ups I am really excited to be able to combine my interest and knowledge in carbon, tech and farming in joining Trinity.”

Anna Woodley, Director of Business Development, says:

“Louise’s focus will be on supporting the growth and success of the fresh produce and glasshouse industries by using Trinity Agtech’s Sandy platform to drive greater business resilience through optimising sustainability and natural capital assets.”
