Chavereys and Trinity AgTech support UK farming sector with new partnership

Distinguished accountants Chavereys have announced an exclusive partnership with Trinity AgTech to bring Sandy to their clients.

Specialist rural accounting firm, Chavereys, has announced an exclusive partnership with new generation natural capital navigator developers, Trinity AgTech, to assist their clients in getting ahead of the carbon curve.

Chavereys’ partner, Nick Holmes, explains with the volatile outlook and uncertainty being experienced in agriculture, farmers need to be proactive and pre-empt possible changes to policy, including the information that they will need to record and evaluate.

Why is it important for farmers to record their natural capital, and how does Sandy contribute to this?

“Carbon and other natural capital assets are increasingly at the forefront of farmers’ minds, especially in the current agricultural climate.

“Going forward, it’s likely that farmers will have to report on their carbon status as part of normal benchmarking procedures and we want to support our clients to do that reliably, which is why we knew partnering with Trinity AgTech and Sandy was the next logical step for us,” says Mr Holmes.

Why did you choose Trinity AgTech?

After much research, Chavereys chose Sandy due to its unique, peer-reviewed, evidence-based approach.

“Sandy combines on-farm data with cutting-edge science to provide a whole-farm approach that encompasses biodiversity and water quality alongside carbon,” says Mr Holmes.

Why should farmers choose to work with a natural capital navigator like Sandy?

“Often when using first generation carbon measuring tools, you make decisions that look good in isolation, but may be inaccurate and/or have a negative impact on biodiversity or water quality.

“This is where Sandy stands out from the rest. By offering the opportunity to measure more than just carbon, users are given a much more holistic view of their farm’s natural assets.

“Inevitably, everything you do has a knock-on effect and it’s about making sure that you are delivering something that is genuinely sustainable across all aspects,” explains Mr Holmes.
